Many of you will know that the House of Lords ruled in October 2007 to remove compensation for those suffering from the asbestos related condition of pleural plaques.

The Government has indicated that it may act to overturn that decision and it is in currently in a consultation process. The paper attached is the consultation document. The deadline for response has now passed and we await the decision of the Government in due course.
